SOCORRO, Texas (KTSM) — An 18-year-old man was recently arrested for physically assaulting his brother while holding a knife, according to the Socorro Police Department.

Emiliano Roman Rivera, 18, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $25,000 bond, according to police.
Police said that shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, officers were dispatched to the 10400 block of Valle Fertil Drive about an aggravated assault in progress.
Upon arrival, officers observed Rivera physically assaulting another male while holding a knife, according to police.
Police said the investigation revealed that Rivera had assaulted his brother.
