EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A traffic stop in Socorro led to a wanted teenage felon being arrested on drug charges, Socorro Police said.
At about 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, officers with the Socorro Police Department pulled over a pickup truck for speeding along the 11900 block of Alameda Avenue.
During the the stop, officers identified the driver as 19-year-old Sergio Chavez. Chavez had an outstanding warrant out of the El Paso Police Department for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance with a $10,000 bond.
Chavez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility, Socorro Police said.
