EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — In this week’s episode of Sound Check on 9 KTSM is featuring The Odicy – a dynamic duo, in the full sense of that word, that surprises with every new song release combining seemingly opposing genres.
Louie Foix and Stephen Spencer started their musical journey as a duo during the COVID-19 quarantine.
With a pop background from Stephen and a rock metal sound from Louie, they formed The Odicy as an ode to exploring different sounds.
“It’s really given us a chance to kind of use our Pink Floyd, you know, influence or Coldplay influence or, you know, you name it, Beatles, everything you can think of. So, it kind of all comes under one banner,” said Foix who is a vocalist and plays the guitar.
The reaction to their sound is usually exactly what they expect – unexpected.
“It’s not necessarily our fault. It’s just our brains and what comes out of them,” explained Spencer who is also a vocalist and plays the bass guitar.
They currently don’t have any gigs on their calendar, but they have just released a new song called “Easy” which is streaming on all music platforms.
