EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Star on the Mountain will shine blue on Monday, Jan. 6, in honor of the new El Paso mayor, Renard Johnson.
The El Paso Chamber said this special lighting, which is sponsored by Johnson’s family, celebrates this achievement and serves as a tribute to his leadership and dedication to the community.
Johnson, El Paso’s first Black mayor, is scheduled to be sworn in at 6 p.m. Monday at the Plaza Theatre.
