KTSM News – Storm chances this weekend; double digits later – Your Exclusive 9-Day Forecast

Posted on August 23, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Hello, Sun City. Let’s dive right into our forecast.

Saturday begins with partly cloudy skies and a high forecasted to reach 101 degrees.

Weather then shifts later in the evening. Right now, we are predicting to see a 30% chance of isolated storms. Keep in mind that some areas can expect more rainfall than others.

Saturday’s overnight low sits at 76 degrees.

Sunday is also expecting to reach a high of 101 degrees during the day. Winds are expected to range from 5-10 mph, nice light winds for the Borderland.

Seventy-five degrees is our forecasted evening temperature, but that’s not all.

Sunday night has a 40% chance of isolated storms expected to begin right before midnight. Rain chances have the potential of lingering into the early morning hours of Monday.

Hello, double digits!

There is a very slight chance we will see rain for Monday. However, there is a high chance of seeing cooler temperatures.

That’s right. Monday’s high is forecasted to reach 97 degrees with winds being as light as 5 mph.

We are so close to those fall temperatures! Have you gotten your pumpkin spice drink in spirit of those double-digits?

Tuesday’s high is expected to continue the double-digit trend with a high to warm up to 95 degrees.

Additionally, the day brings us a 20% chance of rainfall in the afternoon sneaking its way into the night.

Speaking of the night, 73 degrees is the predicted evening temperature.

Ninety-four degrees is the expected high for Wednesday, making it one of the coolest days out of our 9-Day forecast!

Weather conditions will consist of a very slim chance of seeing rainfall in the afternoon, possibly moving its way into the evening.

Wednesday’s evening temperature cools off to 74 degrees.

Thursday and Friday are expected to bring us some cloud coverage but not precipitation.

Luckily, our highs remain in the mid-upper 90s with lows in the 70s. Not much to report, but models can still change those cloudy days to storm chances.

Saturday’s high can potentially warm up to 96 degrees with an overnight low expected to dip to 72 degrees.

The day consists of 20% chance of isolated storms possible in the morning into the afternoon.

To stick the landing on our 9-Day Forecast, Sunday’s predicted high warms up to 94 degrees. There is also a 15% chance of storms in the afternoon.
