EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Sunland Park Fire Department made a donation of equipment that is designed to help provide increased fire prevention in Southern New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 8.
Sunland Park Fire said it donated eight self-contained breathing appartus to the Spaceport America Fire Department.
Spaceport America bills itself as the “first purpose-built commercial spaceport in the world.” It is located about 20 miles southeast of Truth or Consequences.
Sunland Park Fire said the donation “will help their mission to continue to provide fire proection to Spaceport America as well as Sierra County and Doña Ana County.”
