KTSM News – Tech company FTI expanding to El Paso, will create 200 jobs

Posted on November 4, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Faith Technologies Incorporated is expanding to El Paso and is hiring more than 200 people for skilled manufacturing and electrical roles, the Wisconsin-based company said.

The project represents an $81.6 million capital investment, the company said. FTI is serving as the prime contractor on the project, having begun construction on a 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for its Excellerate brand, after purchasing 48 acres at the Pellicano Industrial Park.

Excellerate specializes in modular electrical assemblies and energy solutions that enhance safety, productivity and sustainability, FTI said.

Through its EnTech Solutions, Excellerate and Faith Technologies brandes, FTI says it “delivers innovative solutions in engineering, construction, manufacturing and clean energy that create unparalleled possibilities and shape the future of energy.”

Expected to be operational in late spring or early summer 2026, the new El Paso location will create a range of career opportunities, beginning with openings for foremen, superintendents and manufacturing leads.

Later in the year, additional positions will include entry-level roles, paid apprenticeships and other support roles that help advance innovation and safety across every aspect of FTI’s operations, the company said.

This week, El Paso County Commissioners Court approved a Chapter 381 Agreement with FTI, marking a major step in securing a high-impact advanced manufacturing investment for the region. Under the Chapter 381 program, the agreement provides a tax rebate for a portion of the development’s capital investment of up to $52.5 million.

This action reinforces the County’s commitment to fostering innovation-driven industries and strengthening the regional economy with quality, high-wage jobs, FTI said.

“Being a part of the El Paso community is an exciting new chapter for our team,” said David Jahner, executive vice president of FTI. “As we grow, we’re proud to do so with our uncompromising focus on safety and our Culture of Care, which is our commitment to supporting our team members’ well-being and creating a workplace where people feel valued, respected and empowered. We look forward to building strong connections and making a positive impact in El Paso.”

Local officials echoed that sentiment, highlighting the project’s role in strengthening the region’s economy and reputation as a manufacturing hub.

“FTI’s decision to expand in El Paso County underscores our region’s growing role as a leader in advanced manufacturing and innovation,” County Judge Ricardo A. Samaniego said. “This investment demonstrates the success of our long-term strategy to attract high-quality employers, strengthen our skilled workforce and position El Paso County as a premier destination for business growth and technological advancement.”

“Our EPC model allows us to efficiently deliver complex projects like this while maintaining the high standards of safety, quality and innovation that define FTI,” said Charlie Fredrickson, executive vice president at FTI. “This approach allows us to provide seamless coordination from design through construction, ensuring both efficiency and excellence for our partners and communities.”

Founded in 1972, FTI is an engineering, construction, manufacturing and clean energy company that provides end-to-end electrical planning, design and installation services.

“This project is a tremendous win for East El Paso County and the families who call it home,” said County Commissioner Iliana Holguin, Precinct 3. “The Excellerate facility will bring new, high-paying jobs and open the door to more opportunities for our local workforce. We’re proud to see our community leading the way in supporting projects that build a stronger, more resilient economy for future generations.”

“FTI’s expansion is a major boost for economic development in the Borderplex region, creating 200 high-quality jobs and strengthening our position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and innovation,” said Jon Barela, CEO of The Borderplex Alliance.
