EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Texas Roadhouse restaurants in El Paso will join in a statewide effort to raise money for Special Olympics Texas during a special “Tip-A-Cop” event.
The event will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 24 at Texas Roadhouse restaurants at the following locations: 5010 N. Desert Blvd.; 10729 Gateway West; and 3180 Joe Battle Blvd.
Police officers will help serve guests during the event and collect donations. All donations will go directly to Special Olympics Texas, the restaurant chain said.
Dozens of other Texas Roadhouse locations will hold similar fundraisers during the same week, the restaurant chain said.
Since 2008, this statewide event raised more than $2 million for Special Olympics, Texas Roadhouse said.
