EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Every weekend is ice skating weekend at the El Paso County Events Center that continues all year-round.
If you are looking for something to do this Valentine’s Day weekend not only can you go cheer on the Rhinos but also enjoy public skating with a “ladies’ night theme” that includes special Valentine’s Day Rhinos jersey auction.
Ladies get in for free on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Here is a list of Rhinos games this weekend:
Feb. 16, El Paso Rhinos vs. Atlanta Capitals at 7 p.m.
Feb. 17, El Paso Rhinos vs. Atlanta Capitals at 7 p.m.
Feb. 18, El Paso Rhinos vs. Atlanta Capitals at 7 p.m.
Next weekend, on Feb. 25, you will be able to skate and paint on the ice for the annual “Paint The Ice” event.
“There will not be a clean spot on this ice,” said Corey Heon, president of the El Paso Rhinos.
Heon said the Rhinos community is incredibly generous and heavily supports the team throughout the year.
“We are busy; there’s something going on all the time,” he said.
The public is welcome to step on the ice during open sessions on the weekends which includes Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
They also offer ice skating classes for all ages and two teams that you can join – the 6U Only travel team and Jr. Rhinos.
