EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Three tiny homes are being built to give homeless pregnant women a place to live.
The homes are nearly finished and are being built behind the Westside Community Church in the Upper Valley.
The homes are expected to be completed by October.
It is the latest effort by the Westside Pregnancy Center.
In addition, Westside Community Church held a “Rally for Life” on Saturday, Aug. 17. The event served as a fund-raiser for the pregnancy center and its wide range of services to women.
The featured attraction was Pastor Rafael Cruz, the father of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
Founded in 2019, Westside Pregnancy Center is a non-profit pregnancy center that “focuses on helping families in need with free resources, including pregnancy tests, essential baby items, ultrasounds, classes, and more,” according to the group’s website.
