EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A vehicle on fire along the eastbound lanes on Interstate 10 at U.S. 54 was extinguished on Friday, Sept. 5, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The call came in shortly after 2:45 p.m. at I-10 at U.S. 54, at the entrance of the Juarez Exit 22B, according to the El Paso Fire Department. The blaze was extinguished as of 3 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Multiple fire units were on the scene and firefighters were seen battling the flames originating from a semitruck.


Traffic is backed up along the on-ramp that takes motorists to U.S. 54 or Ciudad Juárez. TxDOT said the roads are closed until further notice.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
