EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A confirmed member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua was arrested last week in El Paso, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Chief Jason Owens announced on his X social media account.
Owens says USBP agents in El Paso arrested a confirmed member of the Venezuelan gang last Wednesday, Sept. 18.
USBP agents have apprehended a total of 70 members of this gang nationwide. “Tren de Aragua is known for murder, drug trafficking, sex crimes, extortion, and other violent acts,” Owens said.
