So much for today’s gardening tip. I was going to encourage people to trim back their dormant lantana, but my pruners were frozen open with rust. Anyhoo, it was a gorgeous day with a high of 61 and light winds. We are in for a very cold weekend, and your forecast is below…
TONIGHT: The skies will be clear overnight, and the winds will be a chilly breeze from the west at 5-15 mph. The low will drop to 35 at the airport, 31 in the valley.
FORECAST: Friday will start out sunny but turn partly to mostly cloudy by the afternoon. The high will be 58, and the SW winds will range from 5-15 mph. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and windy as a cold front pushes in. Saturday’s high will be 51*, but the coldest winds will hit in the afternoon and evening. Expect scattered rain showers to mix over to light snow flurries Saturday night. We could see those rain showers shift to snow flurries starting around 9 PM. Minimal accumulations are expected, but we could see a dusting of snow on the Franklin Mountains when we wake up Sunday morning. Super Sunday will be a cold, partly to mostly cloudy day with a high of 49. Sunday’s NW-north winds will gust to near 35 mph and will feel very, very cold. Monday will be sunny and 60. Tuesday will be sunny and 64. Tuesday will be sunny and 64.
