EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two people were arrested after illegally dumping nearly 13 cubic feet of trash on private property in far East El Paso County, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO).
Javier Blanco, 28, and Krystal Marie Zavala, 35, were arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, each with a $500 bond, EPCSO said.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, at roughly 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Bret Harte Drive and Notre Dame Lane in reference to an illegal dumping in progress.
When deputies arrived, they found a red and black vehicle near the desert area, roughly a quarter mile from the intersection, EPCSO said.
Later, through further investigation, deputies determined that Blanco and Zavala had illegally dumped roughly 12.9 cubic feet of trash from a side job onto private property that was not designated as a legal dumping site, EPCSO said.
“Illegal dumping is a crime, and we’re cracking down on it,” said El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte. “If you choose to trash our desert or neighborhoods, expect to be arrested.”
