EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for the week of Feb. 14, that could affect your commute.
I-10 Widening West
Monday, Feb. 17, through Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Redd Road East and West will be alternatingly reduced to one lane at South Desert Boulevard and North Desert Boulevard.
Crews will be conducting electrical work.
Monday, Feb. 17, through Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be alternatingly reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road.
Crews will be working on the retaining wall and conducting earth work.
Monday, Feb. 17, through Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be alternatingly reduced to one lane between Mesa Street and Redd Road.

I-10 Widening West 2
Monday, Feb. 17 through Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Daily
- Alternating lane closures on I-10 East and I-10 West from Anthony, TX to Nashua Road.
- Alternating lane closures on North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard from Anthony, TX to Nashua Road.
Crews will be performing dirt work and removing miscellaneous materials.
Sunday, Feb. 23 through Thursday, Feb. 27, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Complete Closure on I-10 West from David Road to Anthony.
DETOUR: Traffic will remain on South Desert Boulevard through the Vinton Road and Antonio Street Intersections and enter I-10 West at Anthony.
Crews will be performing dirt work and removing miscellaneous materials.
Long term closure
Through Spring 2026
- Complete closure at Valley Chile Road Turnaround.
DETOUR: use turnarounds at Vinton or Anthony.
Crews will be reconstructing and widening the bridge at Valley Chile Road.
Paisano Bridge Replacement
Monday, Feb. 17 through Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025. Continuous closure.
- Paisano (US-85) east- and westbound between Doniphan and Executive closed.
Crews will be working on demolition and bridge work.

Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Loop 375 eastbound between Talbot and Resler right lane and off-ramp at Resler closed.

- US-85 east- and westbound between Executive and Asarco entrance left lane closed.
Friday, Feb. 21:
- US-54 (CD lanes) between Montana and Altura shoulder closure.
- Loop 375 westbound between US-54 and Main Gap left lane closed.

- Loop 375 westbound between Fonseca and Paisano alternate lane closures.
Spall Repair

Crews will be leveling the pavement.
- Loop 375 east- and westbound between both picnic stations alternate late closures.
- I-10 eastbound between Dallas exit and Cotton entrance ramp right lane closed.
- Entrance ramp closed between US-54 north and Spur 601 eastbound.
Crews will be installing signs.
Montana Widening Project
Monday, Feb. 17 to Tuesday, Feb. 18, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Montana Avenue (US 62/180) eastbound frontage road right lane closure between Joe Battle Boulevard and Tierra Este Road.
- Burger King and Wal-Mart driveway’s will be closed.
Crews will be working on the eastbound frontage road.
Monday, Feb. 10 to Saturday, Feb. 22, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Montana Avenue (US 62/180) eastbound frontage road right lane closure between Lee Trevino Drive and Leticia Drive.
Crews will be pouring concrete for bus stop.

- Montana Avenue (US 62/180) westbound frontage road left and center lane closure between at Saul Kleinfeld.

Purple Heart 375 Widening Project
Monday, Feb. 3 to Friday, Feb. 28, daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) north- and southbound left lane closures between Montana Avenue and Iron Medics Drive.
Crews will be paving in median.
Friday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) north- and southbound left lane closed from Spur 601 to Montana Avenue.
Crews will be working on girder placement.

- Darrington Road north- and southbound alternating lane closures between Horizon Boulevard and Eastlake Boulevard.

Tuesday, Feb. 18, daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Darrington Road northbound traffic will be detoured through Ryderwood Avenue to Emerald Park Drive.
Crews will be installing concrete barrier.

Friday, Feb. 14 at 4 a.m. until May 2025.
- Horizon Boulevard (FM1281) eastbound complete closure between Horizon Crossing to Breaux Street.
Crews will be working on final subgrade, pavement operations and excavating ponding areas.
Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 4 a.m. until December 2025.
- Darrington Road southbound lanes will become two lanes two-way traffic.
- Pete La Rue Circle will follow detour entrance at Roslyn Drive and Exit Jasper Drive.
Crews will be working on final subgrade, pavement operations and milling.
Loop 375 Mill and Inlay Project
Monday, Feb. 17 to Friday, Feb. 21, daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Joe Battle Boulevard (frontage road) north- and southbound alternate lane closures between Pellicano Drive and Montana Avenue.
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas.
Crews will be constructing northbound and southbound turnaround lanes and installing traffic signals.
I-10 Landscape & Aesthetic Project

- I-10 westbound at Yarbrough right lane and shoulder closure.
Crews will be working on aesthetics.
Monday, Feb. 17 to Friday, Feb. 21, daily from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- I-10 east- and westbound right lane and shoulder closure at Lee Trevino.
- Gateway East Boulevard right lane closure between Tower Trail Lane and Zaragoza Road.
- I-10 Westbound between Yarbrough Exit Ramp and Yarbrough Entrance Ramp right lane and shoulder closure.
- I-10 Westbound between Zaragoza Exit Ramp and Zaragoza Entrance Ramp right shoulder closure.
- Gateway East Boulevard left lane closure between Zaragoza Road and Zaragoza Entrance Ramp.
- I-10 Westbound between Yarbrough Entrance Ramp and McRae Exit Ramp right shoulder closure.
- I-10 Westbound McRae Exit Ramp complete closure.
- Gateway West Boulevard left lane closure between Sumac Drive and McRae Exit Ramp.
Crews will be painting concrete riprap, boring conduit & placing electrical pole, landscaping, and placing concrete riprap.
