EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for April 6, which could affect your commute.
I-10 Widening West Project
Saturday, April 6 at 4 a.m., through Sunday, April 7 at 6 a.m.
Eastbound I-10 will be closed at Vinton Road.
DETOUR: Take Exit 2 (Spur 37/Vinton Road/Westway Drive), right on Spur 37, left on SH 20 (Doniphan Drive), left on Talbot Avenue, left on Spur 16, right on South Desert Boulevard and proceed through Artcraft Road, Redd Road, Thorn Avenue, and Mesa Street, and enter I-10 at Sunland Park.
The West to East turnaround at Redd Road will be closed.
Crews will be opening a second lane on eastbound I-10.
33-Hour Weekend Closures
Saturday, April 6 at 9 p.m., through Monday, April 8 at 6 a.m., and Saturday, April 13 at 9 p.m., through Monday, April 15, at 6 a.m.
Westbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic between David Road and Vinton Road.
North Desert Boulevard will be reduced to one lane at Los Mochis Drive.
DETOUR: Continue on North Desert Boulevard, re-enter I-10 past Vinton Road.
Crews will be placing bridge decks.
Sunday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 4.p.m.
Westbound Transmountain Road will be closed at Resler Drive.
DETOUR: Take Exit 11B (Resler Drive) onto the Westbound Loop 375 Frontage Road, proceed through Resler Drive and Northwestern Drive intersections, and re-enter using the Northwestern Drive entrance ramp.
Crews will be opening the Transmountain Flyover to I-10 East.
Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
South Desert Boulevard will be closed between Artcraft Road and Redd Road.
DETOUR: Turn right on SH 178 (Artcraft Road), turn left on SH 20 (Doniphan Drive), turn left on Redd Road, and turn right on South Desert Boulevard.
Crews will be relocating concrete safety barriers.
I-10 Mill and Inlay Project
Friday, April 5 at 9 p.m. through Sunday, April 7 at 6 a.m. (Continuous)
I-10 eastbound between Mesa and Sunland Park closed.
Mesa on-ramp closed.
Detour: Use CD lanes at Exit 13 Paisano/Sunland Park. Stay in left lane to take on-ramp to enter I-10 eastbound.

North Mesa Street Rehabilitation Project

Crews will be milling and repaving.
North Mesa Street Lighting Improvement Project
Tuesday, April 9 through Friday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mesa north- and southbound between Executive and Sunland Park alternate lane closures.
Mesa north- and southbound between I-10 and Doniphan alternate lane closures.
Crews will be boring for electrical conduit, pouring drill shaft foundations, potholing, and installing new lighting poles.

Crews will be working on installing bridge structures, concrete pavement, and concrete barriers.
