EPPD said the crash happened at 12:35 a.m. Friday at the 600 block of Country Club Rd.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a pedestrian was in the roadway when a driver struck and killed the person, according to EPPD. The pedestrian died at the scene, police said.

EPPD didn’t identify the pedestrian by name or gender, just as an 18-year-old.
