CLOVIS, N.M. — The Amber Alert issued for 10-month-old Eleia Maria Torres was withdrawn on Monday after she was found safe by authorities. A suspect is in custody.
Authorities said new details will be available soon.
Police initially responded to Ned Houk Park five miles north of Clovis around 4:26 p.m. CPD said Samantha “Harley” Cisneros and Taryn Allen, both 23, of Texico, were found dead with gunshot wounds outside of a silver minivan. A 5-year-old girl was found with a gunshot wound to the head and taken to a Lubbock hospital. According to CPD, 10-month-old Eleia Maria Torres was abducted. Police said Cisneros is the mother of both children.
Police said on the day of the incident, the two women and children stopped at Twin Cronnie’s to pick up food. The group then went to Dollar Tree in the 3900 block of North Prince Street before heading to the park. Police said a witness who was walking in the park “believed he had heard gunshots, but it was not immediately reported to law enforcement.”
Around 4:25 p.m., police said two males entered the park and found the victims next to the minivan.
