UPDATE: Pinehurst Drive area of Sunland Park has had its water service restored, CRRUA said a little after 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Sunland Park residents in the Pinehurst Drive area will experience a water outage while the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority repairs a waterline break, the utility said Friday afternoon, Sept. 5.
Residents in the area around Pinehurst Drive between McNutt Road and Country Club Road will be affected, CRRUA said. There is no time estimate on the duration of the outage, the utility said.
Once water service is restored, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system.
CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes.
