KTSM News – UPDATE: Woman dead after ATV crash at Red Sands, EPCSO says

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 24-year-old woman is dead after an ATV crash that happened on Friday, Nov. 29 at Red Sands, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) said in a news release.

EPCSO said passenger Brisa De La Cruz, 24, died on Sunday, Dec. 1, at the hospital for her injuries sustained in the crash.

In addition, a 20-year-old woman was released from the hospital with minor injuries, and three other male occupants were treated at the scene and released with no injuries, EPCSO said.

As we previously reported, at approximately 3 p.m. on Nov. 29, deputies responded to a “two
all-terrain vehicle accident” in the Red Sands area.

EPCSO initially said four people were involved and one person was taken to a local hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
