EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) confirmed to KTSM on Friday, April 25, that four international students have had their visas reinstated.
That leaves six students who have had their visas revoked.
UTEP sent the following statement:
“As of 1:45 p.m., four students’ visas have been reinstated. UTEP will continue to monitor the situation.”
As KTSM previously reported, 10 international students originally had their visas revoked by the federal government.
This comes after eight other international students in the Borderland — six from New Mexico State University and two from El Paso Community College — had received word that their visas were being revoked.
