EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A wanted man was arrested and is facing kidnapping and sexual assault charges, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Thursday, March 20, the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, along with the District Attorney’s Office and the Army Criminal Investigation Division, “successfully apprehended” Xavier Angel Rodriguez, 21, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Rodriguez was wanted for three counts of kidnapping and seven counts of sexual assault offenses, including aggravated sexual assault, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Rodriguez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond amount of $1 million.
“The strong support and assistance from these partner agencies led to the suspect’s arrest. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to working closely with all law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of the victim and the community of El Paso County,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
