Look at this dramatic picture of the sun setting behind Mt. Cristo Rey, taken by Weather Watcher Henry Delgado. He was trying out a new solar filter on his camera. Wow! I encourage Henry to submit that to a national contest. It’s amazing.
TONIGHT: The skies will be partly cloudy overnight, and the winds will slowly die down to a light breeze. The SW winds will range from 10-25 mph, a bit windy at times on the east slopes. Once the winds calm down, the low will drop to 49.
FORECAST: Wednesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a windy afternoon. The SW winds will range from 10-30 mph with stronger gusts on the east slopes of the mountains (no dust). The winds will pop the high up to 74 in spite of the cloudy skies. Thursday will be partly cloudy with gusty winds and a dusty haze by afternoon. The SW winds will gust to near 50 mph, and the high will be 70. A cold front comes in on Friday, dropping the high to 60. Saturday will be mostly sunny and 62. Sunday will be sunny and perfect with a high of 70. Enjoy light winds this weekend. Monday will be mostly sunny and very warm with a high of 78.
