KTSM News – Warmer-than-normal temperatures for beginning of fall in El Paso area

Posted on October 3, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Monsoon season is officially over, meaning drier conditions are back for the Borderland. Unfortunately, instead of moisture, warmer-than-average temperatures for this time of year are in the forecast.

Good news though! For the first time since Borderland high-school football began this season, our team is not tracking any storms or showers, meaning games for Friday should go off without a hitch – at least weather-wise.

Saturday will be relatively windy. Those winds will come from the south between 10-20 mph. Gusts can even reach speeds up to 35 mph and keep an eye out for any dust alerts once the winds pick up.

For Sunday, lighter winds are in store with a high near 89. The low will be in the upper 60s.

Monday and Tuesday will be very similar temperature-wise, both highs in the upper 80s. The only difference is isolated thunderstorm chances are present Tuesday night going in Wednesday morning.

Temperatures drop closer to the mid-80s for mid-day Wednesday before a slight increase is seen again heading into the weekend.
