Posted on August 23, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A water main break has caused a water outage in two neighborhoods on Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Lower Valley, according to a spokesperson with El Paso Water.

According to the spokesperson, the water main break happened at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Carolina Drive.

The break is affecting the Cedar Grove and Hidden Valley neighborhoods, causing water outages for those residents.

EP Water crews are on scene repairing the water main break.

“We are requesting a water tanker to be dispatched out there,” said the EP Water spokesperson.

The Texas Department of Transportation has closed the right lane on Alameda until further notice.

As of reporting, there is no estimated time for when the repairs will be completed.

We will update this story when we learn more.
