KTSM News – Water outage to affect 1.8K customers in Northeast El Paso

Posted on April 4, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Water has scheduled a temporary water shut-off in Northeast El Paso that will impact nearly 2,000 customers.

The water outage is planned to start at about 9 p.m. on Monday, April 7, and last until about 1 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8.

About 1,800 customers will be impacted.

The area includes the Cliffside at Mountain Park Apartment Complex at 3334 Zion Lane and
Canyon Hills Apartment Homes at 9010 Magnetic Street.

This planned shutoff is part of an ongoing project that will improve water service reliability, El Paso Water said.

The utility will connect new waterlines at the intersection of Magnetic Street and Atlas Avenue.

Residents are urged to plan and stock up on water for their needs during the outage. Wastewater services will not be affected.

Two water tankers with potable water will be available for customers beginning at 6 p.m. until service is restored.

One tanker will be located at the intersection of Zion and Alabama, and the second tanker will be located at the intersection of Hondo Pass and Magnetic.

Impacted customers can call (915) 474-0879 for additional information.
