EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Way Out West Festival announced the addition of a new stage and expanded footprint for the festival.
The event is set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 28 in Downtown El Paso, according to the news release by the Way Out West Festival.
The festival’s new stage, the Independent Nation stage, will feature a lineup of the Borderland’s rising stars, named after an up-and-coming entertainment business in Sunland Park that will become the home of performers in the Southwest and beyond, according to the Way Out West Festival.
“Our collaboration with Way Out West gives us the opportunity to connect with independent artists in our community,” said David Bingham, president of The Heritage Group, the venue developer. “It aligns perfectly with our plans for Independent Nation to provide a platform for both legendary and emerging artists in the entertainment industry.”
The addition for the new stage is to highlight independent and local musical artist. Independent Nation stage’s lineup will be announced throughout the month of August and plans for next year’s lineup is already in the works, according to the Way Out West Festival.
