Thankfully, we have a few days to dry out from the heavy rainfall around Vado, Mesquite, Socorro, and Horizon City. I am no longer nervous about the threat of heavy rainfall until Sunday night and (especially) Monday. Until then, here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Thursday:

TONIGHT: The skies will be partly cloudy with a very slight chance of isolated evening t-storms. Yes, we could see some brief rain out of individual, hit-or-miss t-storms, but the threat of heavy, sustained rainfall is gone for now. Overnight, the skies will clear, and the low will drop to 73. The SW winds will range from 5-15 mph with occasional gusts.
FORECAST: Thursday will be mostly sunny and 98 as high-pressure builds up over Texas. The SW winds will range from 5-15 mph, and you’ll notice a much drier feel to the air. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 101. Saturday will be partly cloudy with isolated evening t-storms in a hit-or-miss pattern. Saturday’s high: 102. Sunday will be partly cloudy and 98 with widely scattered showers and t-showers. Some individual storms may produce some brief, heavy rainfall.
