TONIGHT: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to the threat of very heavy rainfall out of individual t-showers and clusters of t-showers overnight tonight. A surge of tropical moisture has charged up the mid-level of the atmosphere. That means storms have the potential to unlock as much as 2 inches of rain in a matter of minutes. Do not drive into flooded roadways. T-Showers will come and go in periodic waves through the night. The SE winds will range from 5-15 mph with gusts near some storms, and the low will be 71.
FORECAST: Wednesday will be very different. Skies will be partly cloudy, and we’ll see isolated PM t-storms. Yes, we’ll have a chance of rain, but rain showers should be brief and not present the threat of serious flooding. Wednesday’s high: 94. Thursday will be partly with a high of 99. Expect a chance of isolated PM t-storms. These storms will be hit-or-miss and cause only brief rainfall. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 101. Saturday will be mostly sunny and 101.
