Spring does not officially start until March 19, but nature forgot to tell the trees. My flowering pear trees exploded with white flowers a few days ago. Tomorrow, I hope the pretty flowers can hang on to the tree in the gusty winds.
TONIGHT: The skies will be mostly cloudy to overcast overnight. We should stay dry, and the moderately gusty winds will slowly die down. The SW winds will gust to near 30 mph early in the evening with winds diminishing during the evening. The low will be 50.
FORECAST: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to gusty winds and a dusty haze for Thursday. Thursday will be partly cloudy with SW winds that will gust to near 50 mph, strongest on the east slopes of the mountains. The high will be 70. A cold front comes in on Friday, dropping the high to 60. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with a chance of light rain showers here and there, especially in the late evening hours. Saturday will start out cloudy but will turn sunny by afternoon. Saturday’s high: 62. Sunday will be sunny and perfect with a high of 69, a truly beautiful day. Enjoy light winds this weekend. Monday will be mostly sunny and very warm with a high of 77. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with moderately gusty winds and a high of 76.
