The weather was so warm last week that my trees became confused and budded. If you’ve had the same thing happen, we need to water and fertilize them now and hope we do not have another hard freeze this season.

I can certainly understand why trees became “confused” last week. Look at the records!! Seven new records in one week!!

TONIGHT: The skies will be partly to mostly cloudy overnight. We may see a few drops evaporating before they hit the ground. The SW-west winds will range from 15-30 mph with the strongest gusts on the east slopes. The winds will die down in the early morning hours, and the low will drop to 47.
FORECAST: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to strong winds and blowing dust on Tuesday. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and very windy by the afternoon. The SW-west winds will range from 15-45 mph with the strongest gusts on the east slopes. Tuesday’s high: 73. Wednesday will be partly to mostly cloudy and windy with a high of 61. The NW winds will gust near 40 mph and will likely stir up a slight dusty haze. Wednesday’s high: 61. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with lighter winds and a high of 62. Valentine’s Day Friday will be partly cloudy and windy with a high of 73. The SW winds will pick up and gust near 40 mph. This will likely stir up a slight dusty haze in the afternoon. Saturday will be mostly sunny with cooler winds and a high of 67. Sunday will be sunny and 72.
