TONIGHT: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to the potential for strong storms and brief, heavy rainfall Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. The skies will be partly cloudy with widely scattered showers and t-showers. Individual storms may become strong and produce some brief, heavy rainfall, which could cause localized flooding. One of the biggest concerns for Football Friday Night is lightning, so be aware of rapidly changing weather conditions. We could experience occasional gusts as area storms break apart. In general, the winds will be variable at 5-15 mph, and the low will drop to 73.
FORECAST: Saturday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a high of 95. Expect widely scattered showers and t-showers with brief, heavy rain. Sunday will be partly to mostly cloudy with potentially strong t-showers. With a high of 89, some storms may produce brief, heavy rainfall. Labor Day Monday will be mostly cloudy to overcast all day. The best chance for moderate rainfall will be during the morning hours. By late day, we will enjoy cloudy skies and a high of only 86. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and dry with a high of 90. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 91. Thursday will be partly cloudy and 92 with a slight chance of isolated area t-storms.
