FORECAST: Weather Authority Alert: Friday will be mostly sunny and windy (no dust most of the day) with a high of 84. The SW winds will range from 15-35 mph. Late in the evening, the winds will get stronger, gusting to near 50 mph on the east slopes. We should expect strong winds and a dusty haze overnight into Saturday. Saturday will be a terrible weather day with strong winds and blowing dust. The west winds will gust to near 55 mph, producing a dusty haze much of the day. Saturday’s high will be 67* (*indicates a morning high), and the skies will be partly cloudy. Sunday will be sunny with lighter winds and a high of 72. The west winds will range from 10-25 mph. On Monday, the day of the eclipse, the winds will be fairly light early in the morning. By afternoon, the winds will pick up from the west-SW at 15-55 mph. This will produce a dusty haze by late day. Monday’s high: 77. Tuesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with cooler winds and a few drops of rain here and there. Tuesday’s high will be 64*, and the winds will feel quite chilly.
