EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — High winds and blowing dust are impacting travel in Southern New Mexico.
Interstate 10 between the Arizona state line and Deming is closed going eastbound on Monday afternoon, June 10 due to dust and high winds, the New Mexico Department of Transportation said.
I-10 East is also closed from Deming to Akela.
The eastbound highway is closed from mile marker 5 (NM 80/Road Forks) to mile marker 81 (Deming West).
Other roads that are closed include:
Deming to Akela: NM 549 eastbound from mile marker 0 to mile marker 18.
Deming to Akela: I-10 east from mile marker 104 (Akela) to mile marker 81 (Deming west)
