KTSM News – Windy but no dust for Saturday — Your 9-Day Forecast

Posted on January 17, 2025

What a nasty weather day. The peak gust at the airport was 49 mph (I predicted 50 mph), and the high climbed to 60. We were under a Blowing Dust Advisory until 4 PM today, but the good news is that the weekend will be much, much better. Here’s your 9-Hour Forecast for Saturday and 9-Day Forecast below.

TONIGHT:   Slowly, the gusty winds and dusty haze will settle down.  The W-NW will range from 15-50 mph before finally dying down slowly through the night.  The skies will be clear, and the low will drop to 36.

FORECAST:    Saturday will be sunny with cooler winds and a high of 58.  The W-NW winds will range from 10-30 mph with no dust.  Expect the strongest gusts on the east slopes. Sunday will be sunny with much lighter winds and a high of 50.  Expect a slight chill in the air, especially in the morning. On Monday, enjoy sunshine and a slightly warmer day with a high of 54. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and cooler with a high of 49.  The winds will feel chilly at times, gusting to near 25 mph. Wednesday will bring sunshine and warmer breezes with a high of 54. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 53.  Friday will be sunny and 59.
