EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 20-year-old woman has been arrested on a manslaughter charge after a crash that killed a motorcyclist last month, El Paso Police said.
Police said that they arrested Marissa Arlene Dominguez for manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed 48-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez on Aug. 31.
Dominguez was arrested Thursday, Sept. 11 and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $100,000 bond.
At about 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 31, police repsonded to a crash along Interstate 10 West at Don Haskins to investigate a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Rodriguez was traveling west on the interstate when he was rear-ended, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle.
Rodriguez died at the scene.
The Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations Unit continued to investigate the crash, leading up to this arrest.
