EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A woman has died after a shooting outside an apartment complex in far East El Paso early Wednesday morning, March 27, El Paso Police Department’s Public Information Officer Adrian Cisneros said.
Cisneros said just before 1 a.m. officers responded to 4470 block of Rich Beem Boulevard in reference to a shooting.
Cisneros said once officers arrived, they located a woman who was transported to a local hospital. However, she died as a result of her injuries.
Cisneros said they do not have anyone in custody at this time and is asking the community if they have any information to call the non-emergency number at (915) 832-4400 or they want to remain anonymous to call (915) 566-8477.
The Crimes Against Persons unit is still investigating the incident and will be at the scene for a couple of hours.
Cisneros said the area will remain closed and traffic entering the neighborhood will be affected. However, traffic leaving the area will not be affected.
