KTSM News – Woman struck by 2 vehicles, killed in far East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 54-year-old woman who was crossing Loop 375 in far East El Paso was killed early Friday morning, Dec. 13 when she was struck by two vehicles, including a semitruck that left the scene, El Paso Police said.

The woman, who has not been identified by name, was crossing Loop 375 South near New Word at about 5:30 a.m. Friday, police said.

She was struck by one vehicle and then by a semitruck that did not remain at the scene, police said.

The pedestrian died from her injuries, police said.

Pedestrian crossing the freeway is the primary factor in the crash, police said.

This is the 67th traffic fatality in El Paso city limits so far this year, compared to 75 at the same time last year.

The investigation continues.
