EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Ysleta Independent School has named a new principal for the district’s namesake school, Ysleta High School.
Amelia Garcia, a former assistant principal at YHS, has been selected to serve as the new principal at the school.
Garcia has been in education for 20 years and has served in a variety of leadership roles, including including interim principal, assistant principal, student activities
director and Career & Technical Education teacher – all at Ysleta High School.
Garcia earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of
Phoenix and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Sul Ross State
University
