EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Young people will be able to learn how to cope with stress, deal with dating violence, recognize current drug trends and become leaders.
NAMI El Paso (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and Rio Vista Behavioral Health are teaming up to host a Youth Summit from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Rio Vista’s Outpatient Facility, 1390 Northwestern Dr. Registration is at 9:30 a.m.
The event is free and is open for youth ages 10 to 17. Parents and caretakers are also encourged to attend.
Volunteers are needed.
Topics include: dating violence prevention; current drug trends; behavioral health education; coping skills for stressful times; social media do’s and don’ts; and youth leadership.
