A group of golfers met weekly on the fairway this fall near the PGA’s headquarters in Frisco. While they were swinging, it was quiet save for the thwack of a club striking the ball. Later, the conversations became lively when they took a break to talk shop halfway through their round.They weren’t discussing mergers and acquisitions, though. These golfers were more interested in branches, home stations, and years served.The ten participants were enrolled in a free,six-week clinic for military veterans the PGA conducts twice a year. In the program, which is called PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), coaches work with attendees in a group setting on the proper stance, grip, and body mechanics to improve their swings.
