KTSM News – Crews respond to fire in Blue 2/South Fork Fire burn scar area

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Crews and resources are responding to the Blue Front Fire on Monday, Oct. 28 four miles west of Alto, located at the Blue 2/South Fork Fire burn scar, the Village of Ruidoso announced on its Facebook page.

The Village of Ruidoso said the size of the fire is 10 acres with no containment yet. However, it does not threaten structures or human safety.

Resources and agencies currently responding and assisting include Smokey Bear Hotshots, Bonito Fire Department, Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management and Lincoln County Office of Emergency Services, according to the Village of Ruidoso.

In addition, the cause of the fire is unknown, according to the Village of Ruidoso.
