EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A parked travel trailer was significantly damaged in a fire that happened on Monday morning, Oct. 18 on the East Mesa, the Las Cruces Fire Department (LCFD) announced in a news release.
LCFD said around 10 a.m. Oct. 28, firefighters were dispatched to the report of an outside fire that was possibly impacting a structure on the 1600 block of Joshua Court.
Upon arrival, crews found flames emitting from a travel trailer that was parked adjacent to a mobile home, according to LCFD.
Firefighters attacked the fire and had it under control within about 10 minutes, according to LCFD.
LCFD said crews searched the travel trailer, which was being used as a residence, and declared it to be clear of occupants.
The fire caused extensive damage to the travel trailer. However, the nearby mobile home was not damaged, according to LCFD.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
