EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Salvation Army hosted the annual drive-thru Thanksgiving Community Lunch, where over 1,000 meals were distributed during the drive-thru. The Salvation Army also provides Thanksgiving meals to the shelter, soup kitchen, and County Migrant Center.
Union Draft House and Five Points Lions Club volunteered one week before the holiday to shred turkeys and help prepare the meal. This year, The Salvation Army served smoked turkey; Rollin Smoke BBQ generously offered to brine and smoke all 80 turkeys.
