EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A vacant home was damaged after it caught fire early Friday morning, March 14, in Las Cruces, according to the City of Las Cruces.



The City says fire crews responded just after 2 a.m. Friday to the 1300 block of N. Alameda Boulevard due to a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, the vacant home was well involved and crews were able to apply water and prevent damage to nearby homes while combating strong winds, the City said.
At around 4 a.m., fire crews were able to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire continues to be investigated and there is no damage estimated at this time, the City said.
