EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Burges High School graduate and Nebraska football defensive coordinator Tony White is ready for the next challenge of his coaching career.
White has been hired by Florida State to take on the same role, defensive coordinator, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
White signed a three-year deal to be Florida State’s defensive coordinator, according to Thamel.
White replaces Adam Fuller, who was fired last month after Florida State’s 52-3 loss to Norte Dame.
White heads to Florida State after he spent the last two seasons at Nebraska. While leading the Cornhuskers defense, the squad was a top 20 defense in the nation both years.
White will join a Florida State program, led by head coach Mike Norvell, that is looking to get back to its winning ways after it went 2-10 in 2024.-
