EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A candlelight vigil will be held in remembrance of Mia Molina, one of the victims who died in the Central El Paso shooting on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The vigil will start at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at Muttz Dog Park, located at 460 Vin Rambla Dr.
Attendees are encouraged to wear all white attire and to bring along their dogs and candles.
Molina was a former model and founder of Cars and Canines, a group that helps pets find their forever homes at car meets, according to a post by the El Paso Animal Services.
As KTSM previously reported, two women and two men were in critical condition after a shooting on Sept. 24 that took place near the El Paso Police headquarters in Central.
Hours after the incident, organizers with the El Paso Fashion Week confirmed Molina, 21, was involved in the shooting and died.
A family member told KTSM that 27-year-old Victoria Whitman was another victim who died in the shooting, prior to El Paso Police releasing the identities of all involved in the incident.
Nearly a day later, El Paso Police identified the shooter as 28-year-old Uriel Ontiveros and confirmed Molina and Whitman had died.
Ontiveros also died, but took his own life after shooting the other three people, police investigators said.
The other man involved, 59, has not been named and remains in the hospital in critical condition.
El Paso police say the investigation remains active. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the El Paso Police Department or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
