EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The La Nube STEAM Discovery Center is going to celebrate its first birthday with a special bash next weekend.
The birthday celebration will bake place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at 201 W. Main St.
Admission is free for all children, but tickets are limited and RSVPs are highly encouraged. A small number of walk-in spots will be available, but ticket purchase guarantees entry either during a morning or afternoon time slot, organizers said.
Since La Nube opened, more than 280,000 people have visited the four-story facility in Downtown El Paso.
“We’ve had an incredible first year thanks to the families, educators, partners, and supporters who believed in the power of discovery,” Gina Martinez, CEO of La Nube, said. “This celebration is our way of saying thank you, and a moment to recommit to expanding access for even more children in the year ahead.”
The event will feature full access to:
· La Nube’s interactive exhibits
· Surprise Spark pop-up STEAM activities on every floor
· Live performances and community partner activations
· and special giveaways throughout the day.

As part of the one-year birthday bash, La Nube is also launching a commnity fundraiser. For $10, you can sponsor a visit for child who might not be able to visit the discovery center.
