EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A cat is dead and a mobile home was damaged after a fire on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 1, in Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Fire Department (LCFD) said in a news release.
LCFD said just after 2 p.m. on Dec. 1, firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on the 3600 block of Spitz St.
Upon arrival, crews found flames and heavy smoke emitting from a mobile home, LCFD said.
LCFD said firefighters were able to enter the home and bring the fire under control within 15 minutes of arrival.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries, but a cat was found to have died in the fire, according to LCFD.
The cause of the fire and damage estimates are still unknown.
