Posted on November 2, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A missing woman, who was last seen in Tularosa, New Mexico, has been found, according to the New Mexico State Police (NMSP)

Aurelia Gutierrez, 26, was found Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2, State Police said.

NMSP sent out an alert to media that they were looking for Gutierrez, and then 20 minutes later sent out another media alert, saying she had been found. They did not release any other details.

Gutierrez is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall, weighs 164 pounds with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark blue sweater and gray sweatpants and has a “Layla” tattoo on her neck.

According to the Otero County Sheriff’s Office, deputies had reason to believe that Gutierrez may be in danger if she is not located.

A Brittany Alert was sent out for Gutierrez. A Brittany alert is sent out when an individual with physical, mental or developmental disabilities is reported missing.
